INITIAL CONSULTATION AND BOOKINGS
The bespoke process begins with a one-on-one consultation in person or virtual, hosted by the Creative Director, Darkwaa Edna. This consultation comes at a fee of GHS300.00 for an hour which is not refundable but will be deducted from the final cost. During the consultation, you will have the opportunity to discuss the occasion and communicate your style ideas and inspirations which will be used to design and illustrate your outfit/gown for you. You will be guided to choose the most flaterring designs for your figure and possible fabrics and trimmings to be used. Once the design, fabrics and trimmings are agreed upon, measuments will be taken with necessary notes for production. Timelines for orders depends on the type of garment to be made. Bookings need to be made at least 3 months in advance. All bookings(unless otherwise indicated) usually follow our production timelines indicated bellow: * Traditonal kente/asoke/fugu is minimum of 6 weeks prior notice. * Wedding gowns is minimum of 2 months prior notice. * Regular garment pickup is discussed and scheduled based on workload at our studio. * Express orders are limited slots subject to availability oer period and they attract 30% charge of the total cost of garment.
PRODUCTION AND FITTINGS
A quote/invoice will be provided after the initial consultation which the client makes a 70% deposit before production begins. At this stage, it is very important that you are fully committed to it because there will not be a refund. After this stage, only minor changes are allowed if we prompted soon enough at no additional cost. If there is a major change that requires the purchase of more materials or additional labor and time, there may be extra charges that will be agreed upon. To achieve a perfect fit, we advice you attend two to three fittings throughout the process. Once the perfect fit and creation has been achieved, your bespoke outfit or gown will be prepared for collection. Complete payment should be done a day before collection and final fittings. We believe with clear communication and patience we can work to satisfy you.
FINAL FITTING & COLLECTION
Once the perfect fit and creation has been achieved, your bespoke bridal gown will be prepared for collection/delivery. Ometsey offers a special 'On The Day Service' to complete the bespoke journey.
